Theatre Box is a community theater group in Floral Park , New York. We produce two or three full scale productions each year, including comedies, dramas, mysteries and musicals. Yet, at $ 5-12 per ticket ($22 for dinner theater), our ticket prices are the lowest around! Our doors are always open, to experienced actors and novices alike. THE ROAR OF THE GREASEPAINT, THE SMELL OF THE CROWD

Performances are Friday and Saturday May 9, 10, and 16, 17 at 8pm, and Sunday May 18 at 2pm, with a dinner served at 1230pm.

Directions
From the Cross Island Parkway , take exit 27 Jericho Turnpike.
Follow Jericho Turnpike 6 lights, to Tulip Ave (Jiffy Lube is on the corner). Make a right.
Proceed 1/2 block, keep left at the fork, and travel 3 lights, (just under the RR tracks), and make the right onto Verbena Ave. (the 2nd right after the train tracks).
The United Methodist Church ( 35 Verbena Ave ) is on the left, about a half block down. Parking is available in the lot or on the street.

Auditions!
Auditions will be held for "The Roar of the Greasepaint, the Smell of the Crowd" on January 23, 28 and 30th at 7:30pm. United Methodist Church of Floral Park. 35 Verbena Avenue, Floral Park. Be prepared to sing, dance and read. Further information - call 718-631-2519.

About Theatre Box
Theatre Box began in the fall of 1980 when a small group gathered to stage The Folks Next Door . Over the next few years, plays and musicals with larger casts were produced, and the membership and production quality grew. Theatre Box is currently in its 28th season in the fall of 2007. New members have varying backgrounds, training and experience in theatrical performance and production, and Theatre Box provides a supportive environment in which to develop these skills. We take pride in the high quality of our productions, but also believe everyone should have fun along the way. We treasure the friendships that have developed among our members and with our audience, and always enjoy making new friends. We look forward to many more years of sharing our love of theater with the Floral Park community. We hope you will join us, as new members or in the audience of future productions. Statement of Purpose
Theatre Box is a community theater group based in Floral Park, Long Island, New York. Although it is affiliated with, and uses space provided by, the United Methodist Church of Floral Park and is comprised mostly of area residents, participation in the group's activities is open to all interested parties. Theatre Box is in its 26th season and presents three full-scale theatrical productions each year. It has offered a wide range of shows, including comedies ( Rumors , Lend Me a Tenor , The Odd Couple ), dramas ( Crimes of the Heart , Steel Magnolias , Our Town , Twelve Angry Men ), mysteries ( Rehearsal for Murder , A New Style for Murder ), and musicals ( Kiss Me Kate , South Pacific , My Fair Lady , Anything Goes , The Music Man ). A non-profit, volunteer organization, Theatre Box earns income exclusively from ticket sales and program advertising. It retains some of this operating revenue to fund future productions and modest capital acquisitions, such as lighting and sound equipment and audience seating. Other income is donated to local charitable and community service organizations.
